Kingston Industrial Garage (KIG) kicked off Subaru’s highly anticipated ‘Buy One to Win One’ promotion on Friday, September 6, marking the beginning of Subaru Weekend.

Subaru’s activity-packed weekend ends on Sunday, September 8, and is designed to celebrate the Subaru brand and its loyal customer base in Jamaica. The promotion gives customers a 1 in 50 chance to win a 2024 Subaru after purchasing any Crosstrek, Forester or Outback vehicles.

Electronic Dance Music (EDM), refreshments and SUV were on display, energies were high as attendees heard from KIG’s Marketing and Sales Manager, Judith Denton, President of the Subaru Owners Club of Jamaica, Jason Wilson, and popular social influencer known for her Subaru-centric vlog, Kristia Franklin.

“We are showing our Subaru owners, those new to the brand some l-o-v-e, love,” she said, noting that the Subaru weekend would include food, drinks, music, test drives, consultation with financial institutions, games, tyre-changing workshop, win prizes, among other activities.

Lauding Brand Subaru, Denton noted that “96 per cent of Subaru’s bought ten years ago are still on the road today — this is a testament to the durability and reliability of the brand…this is a brand that has a singular focus on safety”.

She went into a deep dive into the specifications, innovations and mainstays for which Subaru is known, for example, its X-MODE feature which fine-tunes the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system to deliver traction on slippery surfaces.

During Subaru weekend, Subaru owners will also get a 15 per cent discount on parts, and car wash services will go down to $900.

Wilson highlighted the strong bond within the Subaru community and how this promotion will only serve to deepen that connection.

“Subaru owners are not just customers; we are like family,” he noted, emphasising that the promotion is a symbol of the care, trust and community associated with the Subaru brand

Kristia Franklin shared her enthusiasm for the promotion and the Subaru Weekend event. “I’ve had the pleasure of driving all three of the vehicles today, and it’s been a luxury I’ve been awarded over the years,” she said, expressing her appreciation for Subaru’s spaciousness, pet accommodations, and safety features. She wished all participants good luck in the promotion.
