The Marvel Cinematic Universe trilogy debuted its fourth Thor movie, Thor: Love, and Thunder, on Friday (July 8).
Since then, the film has received mixed reviews from Marvel fans.
The film, directed by Taikai Waititi, stars Australian actor Chris Hemsworth and Israeli-born American actress Natalie Portman. In the movie, Thor, the god of thunder embarks on a journey of inner peace. But his journey is disrupted when Gorr, the killer of gods, seeks to get rid of all gods.

The movie reportedly made an estimated US$143 million domestically at the box office during the opening weekend and a 67 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Over the weekend, fans of the film fled to social media to share their mixed views on the film.
“This movie was amazing. It is a thrilling, action-packed, emotional, romantic journey, and it is quite funny too,” said Christopher Fuller in his Google review of the film.
“THE BEST, even as each Thor movie has been ‘the Best’. It’s the best all ‘on its own’, because of the extended cast, the thrilling ride of twists n turns, and how Thor makes heroes of everyone including the children, the children of Asgard,” said Drucilla Neeley.
“Plot was so random and confusing. I barely made it through the movie. The acting was good. But that is all it had going for it.” @jamesmaximillian1 said on Instagram.
“Do not go in expecting a groundbreaking work of cinema. Just shut off your brain and enjoy the movie for what it is,” said @surajsekh12 on Twitter.

Thor is the second Marvel movie to debut this year, after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of
Madness.
Marvel will release Black Panther: Wakanda Forever later this year.
