The Jamaica Badminton Academy (JBA) is hosting the upcoming Shuttle Showdown Tournament at the YMCA, Kingston this Saturday and Sunday. 

This event will feature top badminton players from across the island and showcase high-intensity matches that promise to be a treat for spectators.

Participating in the Shuttle Showdown offers numerous benefits for the players, including exposure to top-level competition and potential scholarship opportunities.

Additionally, this tournament will serve as a platform for networking with industry professionals and to gain valuable insights into the badminton world. JBA envisions making the Shuttle Showdown an annual flagship event, with plans to introduce additional tournaments throughout the year.

The tournament spans over two weekends. The first weekend from September 14 to 15 kicked off with the Beginners and B and D divisions, setting the stage for great competition.

This weekend will highlight the Juniors and A/Open and C divisions, bringing together some of the top talents.

The tournament will end at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22 with a closing ceremony, inviting all attendees to celebrate the event’s success.
