After years of friendship and collaborations, there appears to be bad blood between Jamaican Reggae artiste Sizzla Kalonji and American producer DJ Khaled.
The news comes as a shock to many on social media, who today (December 8) saw the Just One of Those Days artiste burning plaques he received from the We the Best producer, in videos on his Instagram account.
The plaques were reportedly sent by Khaled’s team to commemorate his recent album, Father of Asahd, being certified platinum. But, according to Kalonji and his followers, he needs a magnifying glass to see his name on the plaque.
Sizzla expressed that he feels disrespected by Khaled, stating that he used the Jamaican artiste for clout.

In 2019, Sizzla appeared on Khaled’s 11th studio album, Father of Asahd as well as his 10th album, which featured Sizzla on the opening track, I’m So Grateful.
The latest collaboration between the pair was this year when they teamed up with Skillibeng, and dancehall greats Capleton, Buju Banton, and Bounty Killer for the single These Streets Know My Name.
“Why use Dada, Buju & Capleton for clout!? You don’t use rasta for clout!” said @_selectaprophet_707 in the comments on one of the IG posts.
“Anyone who feels seh these men are teachers, knows the truth! Long time people just go a yaad fi dem benefit, This is no different! so it was in the beginning so it shall be in the end!”
The plaques feature images of Khaled, as well as his eldest son, Asahd. In the video, Sizzla can be seen tearing the face of Asahd off the plaques, declaring that “babies are innocent”.
He then referred to Khaled’s son as his god child, expressing that he would rather receive a plaque with the child than one with Khaled.
