The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) reported yesterday (May 24) that dancehall artiste Skeng was arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

The artiste, whose real name is Kevon Douglas, was reportedly barred from boarding a plane headed to Trinidad.

Announcing the report via Twitter, the JCF added that the Talibhan artiste was charged with disorderly behaviour and resisting arrest.

No further details were provided, however the JCF indicated that more information would follow.

It is alleged that the entertainer was involved in an altercation with one of the security guards who passed a rude, uncalled for remark. Further reports indicated that as the altercation escalated, attempts were made to pepper spray the artiste before he was escorted out.

Missing his flight, hopes are that he will be able to board a plane today (May 25) to Trinidad. The artiste is slated to headline ‘Baderation, Dancehall Mega Concert’ in Guyana on Friday, May 27 in celebration of the country’s independence tomorrow (May 26). Jamaican dancehall artiste Shaneil Muir and Trinidadian artiste, Young Bredda are also scheduled to perform.
