Cedes Beauty Studio is the creation of a mobile make-up artist who caters to both men and women for any occasion or event.

Mercedes Shepherd is the woman who has spent the last five years building her brand and business. Her exposure to make-up artistry began when she won a scholarship at Excelsior Community College to complete a short course in the field.

Since completing the course, Shepherd started her business and used her weekly earnings to pay her way through school. She recently completed her bachelor’s degree in Communication, Arts and Technology at the University of Technology (UTech).

Shepherd said that, for now, her plans are to continue growing her business and recently she has added bridal hair styling to her offering in addition to islandwide service.
