Jamaica’s cinema culture just got a welcomed upgrade.

Screenshot Interactive has officially launched Social Ciné, a fresh outdoor movie night series blending nostalgia, community, and pure screen magic.

The debut event popped off on Mother’s Day, transforming the south lawns of Devon House into a cosy open-air theatre. Guests lounged on blankets with friends and family for a throwback screening of the ‘Sister Act 2‘ comedic musical, following a short film pre-show, ‘Sonshine‘ by Kaleb D’Aguillar, courtesy of JAFTA (Jamaica Film & Television Association).

VIPs enjoyed low-profile sling chairs, complimentary snacks, and signature drinks.

Social Ciné delivered more than just a movie: it was about the full experience.

DJ Anash kept the vibes flowing with hits for all ages, while guests snapped photobooth moments and enjoyed a steady stream of popcorn, soft drinks, and margaritas.

“We wanted to create something easy, familiar, and a little magical: the best parts of being outside with friends and family,” said Andrew Brown, founder and managing director of Screenshot Interactive. “Social Ciné is just getting started: more movies, more locations, more good vibes. If you love great films and unforgettable nights, you won’t want to miss what’s next.”

The sequel is already loading: save the date for Father’s Day, June 15.

New location, same screen magic. Stay tuned.
