Must be six feet or taller to date. This is the kind of message men are confronted with in the online dating world, and of course, they have been trying to bend the rules by lying about their height.

Women have caught on to the trend, and artificial intelligence has been a huge ally in uncovering the truth.

Last weekend, a user on X (formerly known as Twitter) revealed the power of ChatGPT in telling the height of men on dating platforms such as Tinder and Hinge.

The viral tweet showcased ChatGPT’s ability to accurately estimate people’s heights from their photos with user Venture Twins’ upload of herself in four photos to the AI platform.

The user also tested the AI with images of her friends, finding the results pretty close, reportedly within an inch of their real heights.

However, the results don’t seem to be consistent for everyone.

Assistant editor of general assignments at Mashable Chance Townsend tried it for himself, reporting “it sort of works.”

Townsend was pegged between 5-9 and 6-1, and it was observed that accuracy depends on snapshots fed to ChatGPT.

He uploaded more photos, which the bot used to declare he was “likely” six feet tall, despite his reality of 5-9.

So, ladies, proceed with caution.
