Jamaica and Cancun on the list of new non-stop routes

Southwest Airlines is bringing back more non-stop routes to the Caribbean this summer.

It is being reported that, beginning June 5, the American carrier will add four routes to the Caribbean including Montego Bay in St James, Jamaica and Cancun, Mexico.

Southwest plans to have daily service between Chicago and Montego Bay; Saturday-only service between Baltimore-Washington and Grand Cayman; Saturday service between Milwaukee and Cancun, Mexico; and Saturday service between Denver and Cozumel.

In addition, Cozumel is set to get another boost also this summer when Southwest launches a brand-new route from Austin, Texas on June 11.

Also in June, Southwest is expanding its Saturday-only flights from San Antonio to Cancun to daily service.

In a statement, Southwest said the additional routes are part of the “carrier’s commitment to continue building on its world-famous point-to-point network while giving travelers more ways to reach their favorite summer destinations”.
