Spanish Town Primary regained the INSPORTS/Devon Biscuits Primary Schools Central Championship in convincing fashion, winning by 41.5 points at the GC Foster College on Wednesday.

Spanish Town, which won in 2023, amassed an impressive 355.5 points and was well ahead of dethroned champions Naggo Head, which finished second on 314 points, which was more than the 313 total with which they won last year.

Greater Portmore with 176 points were third, St John’s retained their fourth spot with 127, as Ascot Primary climbed into the fifth with 123 points.

The top 10 positions are completed by Southborough Primary (81.5), Davis Primary (79), Angel’s Primary (74.5), Kensington Primary (56), and Jericho Primary (45).

Spanish Town, which was winning their second title in three years, collected the $350,000 first prize and Naggo Head collected $250,000 for second. Greater Portmore, which was third for the second consecutive year, walked away with $200,000. The fourth to 10th-placed teams all collected $100,000.

Spanish Town started the final day with 45 45-point advantage but at one point Naggo Head reduced the deficit to 20 points at the halfway mark.
