Dancehall heavyweight Spice unveiled the official album cover for her highly anticipated third studio album ‘Mirror 25’ its August 9 release date on popular morning-time programme ‘Good Morning America‘ (GMA).

On the Wednesday (July 10) show, the reigning ‘Queen of Dancehall’ discussed how the album commemorates her 25-year milestone in the music industry.

“I started my music career in 1999,” explained Spice, adding “25 years… It’s not a small thing, it’s a very big thing.”

Spice also discussed the advice she would have given her younger self, her love for Jamaican culture, and revealed her next dream collaboration—Beyoncé, and more.

Executive produced by Spice, ‘Mirror 25 will be a 25-track album showcasing her legendary sound infused with unique rhythmic tracks, serving as a raw, open diary of her past trials and tribulations–with each track revealing a vulnerable part of her life.

The album title, ‘Mirror 25’, symbolises reflection and self-discovery, marking a new era for Spice to artistically showcase her growing pains and lessons learned as an artist and as a woman. ‘Mirror 25‘ will be released via Spice Official Entertainment with distribution through Empire.

The announcement of Spice’s album release date comes soon after the release of her first controversial single ‘2085 Tea’, followed by her lead single Round Round‘, featuring 12-time Grammy-nominated rapper Busta Rhymes.

Both singles have reached #1 on iTunes Reggae charts.

Spice has collectively streamed over 433 million times on YouTube and over 400 million times on Spotify, as one of the most streamed female artists in her genre.

Spice’s last major project ‘10,’ surpassed over 300 million streams on Spotify, and landed her her first Grammy nomination for ‘Best Reggae Album’ in 2022.

The impact of the album, influenced by her breakout hit single, ‘Go Down Deh’ featuring Shaggy and Sean Paul, leveraged Spice to conquer an even larger and diverse fanbase, to receive global acclaim.
