The police in St Elizabeth have charged a man for breaking into an appliance store located in Siloah.

He is a 37-year-old labourer, Denvor Palmer, of Plantain Walk district in Siloah, who is charged with housebreaking and larceny.

A court date is being finalised for him.

Reports from the Black River police are that about 5:30 pm on Saturday, November 8, lawmen were informed of a break-in that was in progress at the appliance store.

They responded, made checks, and observed that the padlocks were removed. A search of the area was conducted, and, according to the police, Palmer was found hidden behind the building.
