Stephen Curry isn’t leaving the Warriors, but he is stepping away from the company that’s been tied to his sneakers for over a decade.
The NBA star and Under Armour are heading in different directions, with the Curry Brand set to operate on its own after the Curry 13 drops in 2026.
Under Armour’s founder explained that the company is narrowing its focus while Steph takes the brand he built into its next phase. The two sides have spent years creating more than just shoes and gear; they teamed up on programmes for kids and used the brand to open doors far beyond the court.
Steph shared that the partnership helped him grow something larger than footwear, and he’s ready to push that vision even further as the Curry Brand becomes fully independent.
He says his mission is only gaining momentum as he looks ahead.
