The Thanksgiving Service for coach Stephen Francis will be held at the National Indoor Sports Centre, Independence Park, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, starting at 11 a.m.

 Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Olivia Grange, who made the announcement, disclosed that a Condolence Book was be opened at the Ministry yesterday, Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

The Thanksgiving Service will be streamed live on TVJ. Minister Grange had hailed Mr. Francis as an exceptional coach whose work brought pride to the country and transformed the lives of countless athletes.

World Athletics was among those expressing sadness at the passing of the world-renowned sprint coach, who died on July 4 at the age of 64.
