With deteriorating global economic prospects, consumers grappling with higher inflation and higher interest rates, saving for the long term may become a daunting process for many investors.

However, Sterling Investments Limited (SIL) predicted and planned for the volatility of 2022, so its outlook remains positive.

SIL, the investment holding company that invests primarily in fixed-income investments across the globe, revealed in its quarterly results that the company’s uniquely designed business model continues to pay shareholders an attractive dividend yield of 6.7 per cent.

“SIL generated positive cash flow and strong income in the first half of 2022, so it is able to pay shareholders a handsome dividend.”

In a sit down with a director for Sterling Investments Limited, Marian Ross-Ammar, she explained how Sterling Investments Limited has been able to generate a positive cash flow during the ongoing financial volatility while creating opportunities for shareholders.

“SIL generated positive cash flow and strong income in the first half of 2022, so it is able to pay shareholders a handsome dividend. The low profit is the result of unrealised FX losses due to the appreciation of the Jamaican dollar,” Ross-Ammar shared with Our Today.

“Management had predicted a rapid rise in interest rates and a decline in the market prices of financial assets. These movements have materialised and have provided good buying opportunities for the management team,” she added.

Sterling Investments Limited aims to thrive in times of crisis and patiently assesses the market for accretive investment opportunities.
