Following rumours that Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey called their relationship quits, the former’s stepfather, Steve Harvey, confirmed today (June 6) during his talk show, that the couple did in fact split.
Breaking his silence on an episode of The Steve Harvey Morning Show, the stepfather of the 25-year-old, after confirming the breakup, said: “I’m team Lori, 1,000 per cent. She’s my daughter. I love her, I support her.”
In his usual fashion, the stand-up comedian couldn’t resist making a joke about the former couple’s break-up, sharing how happy he was that they ended the relationship early and that at least it wasn’t a costly divorce.

Steve, who has been married a total of three times, laughed as he admitted that he wished he could have learned from the young couple.
“I just wish I could have broke up without the cost factor! I got to start learning from my children, get out early! I waited way too late… I’m gonna have to start breaking up on IG ’cause this going to court is costly.”
The actor, noting that he did not hear of any hostility during the break-up, suggests that the pair possibly parted ways amicably.
“Look, as long as everybody can walk away in peace, be friends… I ain’t heard nobody say they busted no windows or nothing,” he said.

“As long as you don’t put your hands on my daughter, I don’t give a damn what you do. He’s still a cool guy… from what I know. It’s a breakup. I’m pretty sure they’ll be fine. People break up all the time,” he continued.
News first broke on June 4 of the couple’s separation after a year and a half together. Since the rumours surfaced, the American model has removed all images of Jordan from her Instagram page.
The 35-year-old actor, who has been urged by many to do the same to her images on his social media platforms, has yet to do so.
Neither has spoken publicly on the matter.
