
Deputy CEO of GraceKennedy Financial Group Steven Whittingham is the new chairman of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE), succeeding Julian Mair, who was ineligible for re-election as chairman of the board.
The JSE also has a new deputy chairman in Steven Gooden, former CEO of NCB Capital Market, who replaces Whittingham.
In accordance with the JSE’s Corporate Governance Principles, Mair, JMMB’s group chief investment strategist, having served five consecutive terms as chairman, was ineligible for re-election.
The JSE has thanked Mair, who has over 20 years of experience in financial services, for his exemplary leadership during his tenure as chairman.
