Sting and Shaggy for St Lucia jazz and arts festival

The dynamic musical duo of Sting and Shaggy headlines this year’s St Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival.

Sting and Shaggy, who have collaborated on two new albums in the last few years are be part of a diverse line-up of artists across genres including Afro beats, Jazz, Gospel, Soca, Reggae, Zouk and Pop.

This year’s event will run from May 5-14 with tickets going on sale on February 15. The event is being held under theme, ‘Art and the City.’

St. Lucia’s Tourism Minister, Dr Ernest Hilaire is excited at the return of the festival this year saying, “the 2023 St Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival promises to be the best yet, as we continue our tradition of hosting the Caribbean’s premier jazz and arts event.

The festival will showcase music, the performing arts, fine arts, creole cuisine and the effervescence of St Lucia’s creative industries.

Minister Hilaire adds that there will also be a robust “Arts” component to the festival that will include visual art, theater, fashion, souvenir markets and a number of events at Derek Walcott Square, Peter Boulevard and Constitution Park, among others.
