Jamrock Events, organisers of the recently staged ‘Dis A Reggae’ concert in Denver, Colorado, is still basking in the afterglow of the festival’s success.

The event not only energised audiences with the vibrant sounds of reggae and dancehall but also highlighted the company’s expanding mission to bridge music, culture, and social responsibility.

Founded by Eton Pearcy, a US military veteran who settled in Colorado after medically separating from service, Jamrock Events was born from a vision to fill the void of proper representation of Jamaican culture abroad. While Caribbean artists frequently tour the United States, Jamrock Events ensures their contributions are packaged as a true reflection of Jamaica’s identity—where music, people, and heritage converge.

Over the years, Jamrock Events has proudly hosted legendary figures such as Minister Olivia “Babsy” Grange, Joe Bogdanovich, Mystic and Skip Marley, Inner Circle, Luciano, Demarco, Dexta Daps, and Ding Dong.

Most recently, reggae icon Sizzla Kalonji headlined Dis A Reggae on September 20, reminding audiences in Denver that traditional reggae music remains deeply rooted in charity, resilience, and people-centred upliftment.

Expanding cultural celebration into social impact

The company’s mission goes beyond concerts and is currently spearheading the partial incentives breakfast programme at Windward Road Primary School in Kingston. In partnership with the Jamaica Social Stock Exchange (JSSE), the programme provides meals while ensuring transparency and accountability for donors and stakeholders.

“This project is about more than music and entertainment—it’s about using our platform to create lasting change,” said Eton Pearcy, founder of Jamrock Events. “By addressing food insecurity at the school level, we are not only feeding children but also investing in Jamaica’s future.
