Suspect in hit-and-run of St James cop in custody

The suspect in the hit-and-run of an on-duty police officer in St James is now in police custody.

He surrendered to the police, on Saturday accompanied by his attorney.

The critically injured constable remains in hospital.

The JCF commends members of the public for their vigilance and cooperation that influenced the rapid progress made in the investigation.
