In an exciting step toward greater corporate involvement in environmental sustainability, the National Conservation Trust Fund of Jamaica (NCTFJ) has announced a dynamic, collaborative partnership with leading food service distributor Caribbean Producers Jamaica Ltd (CPJ), for the upcoming ‘Bring Yuh Basket’ eco-picnic charity event.

This one-of-a-kind picnic experience will take place on Sunday, October 27 from 12 pm to 6pm, at Hope Gardens Annual Lawns, uniting the eco-conscious and eco-curious, as well as corporate partners and stakeholders to support and bring awareness to the importance of preserving Jamaica’s protected areas.

The NCTFJ’s Bring Yuh Basket eco-picnic will pay homage to the organization’s marine partners—local groups working tirelessly to protect our ecosystems. The event will provide guests with an opportunity to learn more about the work being done to safeguard our marine managed areas, while offering an avenue for corporate Jamaica to engage and connect regarding sustainability and social responsibility.

“We are excited to have CPJ on board as a gold sponsor for Bring Yuh Basket. They are also the primary sponsors of the Montego Bay Marine Park’s Care, Protect Jamaica initiative, so we know they understand the importance of the work we do. Their commitment to sustainability aligns with our mission to preserve, protect and promote the effective management of our protected areas across Jamaica,” shared Danellia Aitcheson, manager of the NCTFJ. “Together, we can amplify the impact of our marine partners and hopefully inspire other members of corporate Jamaica to take action and offer their support to these groups.”

The eco-picnic is designed to blend relaxation, and environmental awareness in a gorgeous boho chic atmosphere. Guests can pack their own picnic baskets or preorder their lunches from any of the two vendors. The event will feature live music, a DJ, interactive activities, eco-picnic tokens, giveaways, free cocktail courtesy of CPJ, and a wide variety of beverages for guests to indulge responsibly.

“Caribbean Producers Jamaica is proud to partner with the NCTFJ to bring you the Bring Yuh Basket Eco Picnic. This event aims not only to assist further with supporting environmental projects across the island, but will also build and educate our communities on the importance of caring for and protecting Jamaica,” said Sherita Riley, Marketing Specialist at CPJ. “By fostering collaboration between local businesses and residents, we aim to inspire sustainable practices that benefit both our environment and our economy. Together, we can cultivate a culture of environmental stewardship that ensures a vibrant and thriving Jamaica for future generations.”

More than just an afternoon out, Bring Yuh Basket is an opportunity to give back in a meaningful way. The NCTFJ is extending an invitation for companies and organizations to support this cause through ticket sponsorship opportunities. The goal is not only to raise funds for conservation efforts, but to foster a greater sense of community among businesses that are committed to environmental responsibility.

Tickets for Bring Yuh Basket are now available on the SpurrOpen platform, with all proceeds going towards marine conservation projects and programmes and supporting the organization’s grantees. Guests will enjoy a funfilled, eco[1]conscious experience, so be sure to get your tickets and come sip, savour and connect.
