Switch It Up is a single from Protoje’s In Search of Lost Time album. The single features Jamaican Golden child, Koffee.

The album was released in 2020, amid the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Despite the pandemic, the reggae artist managed to champion a reggae album that resonates with, if not all, most local, regional and international listeners

One of the posts in particular prompted Protoje’s fans to engage with his content online, as a teaser for releasing the video.

Well, Protoje took to his social platform, Instagram with three images relating to, Switch It Up, teasing his fans about releasing the video.

The image captioned “Switch it ip visualizer is at 1.9 million. Turn that into 2 million and me drop the video right away!!!.”

The official music video was set for release on January 22, 2021 on New Wave’s Instagram page @newwaveja.

But even though the visualiser was still around 3,000 away from two million Thursday morning, Protoje has now dropped the video, a day early.
