Sygnus, a leading alternative investments firm in the region, and the Carbyne Capital Investments team, joined hands with the Kiwanis Club of CyberConnect Jamaica to spread festive cheer at the Bustamante Hospital for Children with over 450 gifts on Thursday, December 14.

The Kiwanis Club of CyberConnect Jamaica, known for fostering a longstanding relationship with the Bustamante Hospital for Children since 2017, commenced its Christmas Cheer Initiative on November 26. Anadeen Nembhard, head of people, talent and culture at Sygnus, in expressing the team’s enthusiasm for the event, said: We had a great experience coming on board for this initiative as we had our own ‘elf’ team which came together in the shopping and wrapping of all the gifts at our ‘Santa workshop’ at the office. The Sygnus team enjoyed partnering with Kiwanis CyberConnect of Jamaica to support the Bustamante Hospital for Children to spread Christmas cheer during the holiday season.”

“It was a great opportunity to walk and see the children. Our team is inspired by the resilience and spirit of the young patients at Bustamante, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of others,” she continued.

We acknowledge the collaboration of corporate partnerships to enhance this project and thank them for showing up and caring for these children.”

Staceyann Sucklal, president of Kiwanis Club CyberConnect Jamaica, in expressing gratitude for the support, said: “Visiting and supporting the Bustamante Hospital is something we do annually and we do appreciate the support this year. The hospital has a bed size of 279 and we were able to donate over 450 gifts. Sygnus added that extra special touch we need to bring joy to the kids. We look forward to more collaborations and bigger and greater things in the future.”
