Symptai Consulting Limited, an IT consulting firm operating in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean, has launched the first ‘Jamaica Data Protection Act (JDPA)’ online and on-demand training courses.

This comprehensive course, developed by expert data privacy practitioners, provides professionals with the necessary knowledge to navigate requirements under the Jamaica Data Protection Act when it becomes fully implemented on November 30, 2023.

The company, in a statement, says it has gone one step further to create a new JDPA course that covers all the key aspects of the data protection laws within Jamaica.

It outlines the major tenets of the law and examines the implications for those who collect, store, process, share and ultimately dispose of personal data.
