The long-anticipated Tarrus Riley and Friends concert is set to be held at Emancipation Park on Friday (December 16) after being suspended for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The concert, which is being held under the theme ‘Let Live Music Live’ will feature a tribute to musical pioneers who have passed away such as ‘Toots’ Hibbert, Karen Smith, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, The Mighty Diamonds, Bob Andy, among others.

Tarrus Riley, with the collaboration of both local and international singers such as Damian Marley, Protoje, Shenseea and Dean Fraser, is hosting the concert with the aim of promoting peace in communities by encouraging youths to play more instruments and listen to local music.
The annual event was first started by Tarrus Riley and co-founder Dean Fraser, who started the concert a decade ago to encourage peace in the community through live music.

The event, which is sponsored by Wisynco Group, is said to promise a night filled with great performances from upcoming local talent.
The concert begins at 6 pm until 12 midnight and admission is free.
