The St Andrew Central Police have formally charged two teen boys with robbery with aggravation following an incident at a plaza along Half-Way Tree Road in the parish on Wednesday, April 1.

Reports from the Half-Way Tree police are that between 3:10 pm and 4:00 pm, a boy was walking in the plaza when a group of males approached him.

One of them held him from behind, brandished a knife, and threatened him. It is also reported that another of the males searched his pockets and robbed him of his wallet containing $5,000 and a bank card. The culprits then escaped into the area.

A report was made to the police, following which, a police team revisited the scene of the incident and apprehended two suspects. The duo was charged after a question-and-answer session in the presence of an attorney and their parents on Saturday, April 4.

Their court date is being finalised.
