 An 18-year-old has been slapped with four serious firearm-related charges following a late-night shooting at the intersection of Richie Lane and White Lane in Kingston 11 on Friday, January 23.

Charged with wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of prohibited ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony is Roy Dallas, otherwise called ‘Royo’, of Henley Road, Kingston 11.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that about 10:15 pm, the complainant was attending a wake along Richie Lane when he left briefly to make a purchase. While returning, he was allegedly confronted by Dallas, who opened fire, hitting him.

Despite his injuries, the complainant drove himself to hospital, where he was treated. The matter was reported and an investigation was launched.

Dallas was later arrested and charged following a question-and-answer interview conducted in the presence of his attorney. His court date is being finalised.
