Jamaica’s Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) is now hosting a job fair at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James.
The fair, which began this morning, is being executed in collaboration with the HEART/NSTA Trust and the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA).
Persons seeking employment in the tourism sector are being encouraged to attend the job fair, which is open to all who are interested in having a career in tourism, especially those who completed the recent TEF Job Readiness Programme and have not yet been employed. Persons are being asked to walk with a copy of their résumé.

Recent graduates with certificates from the HEART/NSTA Trust are also being accommodated.
Several employers within the accommodation sector of the tourism industry will be on location to facilitate interviews with prospective employees.
Carol Rose Brown, director of the Jamaica Centre of Tourism Innovation, indicated that representatives from the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and the business process outsourcing sector were also invited to participate in the job fair.
In an interview with the Jamaica Information Service, Rose-Brown said: “We want to invite as many people as possible. Tourism is the engine of our country’s economic development. It is a huge sector, it is increasing. There are a number of jobs available.”
