Rising Jamaican reggae musician Tessellated, having matured from his Pine & Ginger debut, is turning heads (and ears) with his latest project, Tropics Volume 1.

The seven-track project, released on Friday (December 4) also includes a collaboration with internationally acclaimed reggae star Protoje.

Tessellated dropped his EP with some stunning visuals from the title track, Tropics, in which the singjay is seen frolicking in several locations in Kingston and St Andrew.

The colour pink also seems to weigh heavily in his musical aesthetic, as the project was visually teased days before its release on his Instagram page.

The 21-year-old songwriter and producer, born Joshua Meeks, also took the time to thank his entire team and fans for their support.

“Thank you to everyone who made this project possible both by helping to execute the vision & by supporting me along the way. Just the first of many,” he said.

Speaking of Sweeter, the fresh single definitely has a vibe to it. True reggae lovers will appreciate the trumpet and overall vibrant instrumentals.

Tropics Vol. 1 easily flows between an easy vibe and energetic picker-upper, with catchy hooks, a rich array of musical influence as well as the welcomed pop of pink!

Tessellated’s Tropics Vol. 1 is available for streaming on all major platforms.
