On Wednesday, May 21st 2025, the prosecution team against Sean “Diddy” Combs revealed to the court the evidence collected by the Department of Homeland Security during their raid on the Hip-Hop mogul’s Miami residence in 2024.

This evidence included several firearms, baby oil and lubricants, alongside pills and drugs. These items were photographed and presented to the judge and jury. Shortly after, Home Security Sepcial Agent Gerard Gannon presented one of the allegedly seized handguns in person before the courtroom.

The Defence cross-examined Gannon, with Comb’s lawyer Teny Geragos asking the Special Agent if he personally owned a gun and if he believed that many in Florida owned guns. Gannon answered yes to both questions. Geragos continued by questioning if Diddy’s fingerprints were found on the firearms, with Gannon stating that he didnt know for certain as he hadn’t personally done a fingerprint analysis.

Following a break for lunch, a former employee of Sean Combs, George Kaplan, came forward as a witness. Initially, speculation indicated that Kaplan intended to ‘plead the 5th’, refusing to provide any answers that could incriminate himself. However, just before taking the stand, Kaplan was granted full immunity to speak without fear of being charged.

Kaplan, aged 34, told the court that he had worked for Combs between 2013 and 2015. He said that he initially worked as an assistant for the Nickolodeon Media Company, but transferred to Combs Enterprises when his initial boss did. Kaplan said that during his time with Diddy, he became one of the accused’s most important employees.

The witness stated that the demands of his work became ever more intensive, requiring him to work anywhere from 80 to 100 hours a week, with duties ranging from supporting Diddy during his recording sessions to helping the artiste clean up after himself following his “Freak offs”. As part of this, Kaplan claimed that he had to both prep and tidy away his boss’ hotel rooms prior to his sexual activities, ensuring they went on as discreetly as possible.

According to Kaplan, Diddy was also abusive as an employer, routinely threatening his job and verbally abusing him. The defence is set to cross-examine him today for roughly thirty minutes, after which the next witness called forth is expected to be the rapper ‘Kid Curi’.
