Popular American producer Terius ‘The Dream’ Gesteelde-Diamant has been accused of rape and sexual assault.
The Dream rose to fame in the early 2000s as a songwriter and singer with hits like’ I Love Your Girl‘, ‘Shawty Is A 10‘and ‘Falsetto‘.
However, in a recent lawsuit, he is being accused of rape and sexual battery by his former protege, according to reports and documents obtained by The New York Times.

The lawsuit was filed by Chanaaz Mangroe. She claims that The Dream lured her into abusive exchanges, promising her a career as a singer-songwriter. She claims that The Dream’s associates contacted her on social media and asked her to join his musical partner in Atlanta.
The abuse consisted of forcing Mangroe to have sex, strangling her, and threatening to release explicit content of the two engaging in sexual intercourse.
Mangroe, who is now 33, says that a decade ago when she was 23, she was working in the US with a visa from The Netherlands.
Court documents include details of manipulation, rape, physical abuse, and promises of fame and success to an aspiring artist.
No further updates have been released on the matter.
