On May 31, the Grand Excelsior Hotel was transformed into the Heineken Arena for the climax of the UEFA Champions League finals.

Fans were treated to a day of football, camaraderie, and entertainment at the exclusive, invite-only viewing experience. The game brought together a tribe of football fanatics, each one draped in jerseys. The energy was electric before the very first whistle.

The venue was designed to capture and amplify the thrill of the game. Every detail was photo-worthy, starting with a striking Heineken bottle-shaped portal that welcomed guests into the experience. True to the spirit of their Hardcore Fan campaign, Heineken set out to celebrate the passion, quirks, and unwavering loyalty that define true UCL fans.

Beyond just watching football, it was about the rituals, the beliefs, the superstitions, and the fierce devotion that make a fan truly hardcore. The décor brought this to life, with photo ops dedicated to every kind of supporter: the loyal fan, the superstitious fan, and the ultimate hardcore fan.

The air crackled with excitement as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan clashed on the big screen, each play drawing cheers and gasps from the crowd. Guests mingled effortlessly, sipping chilled Heinekens and indulging in an elevated match-day menu—delicate vegetable spring rolls, succulent chicken skewers, and gourmet sliders—curated to complement the occasion. It was football viewing at its finest, blending passion, camaraderie, and refinement in every detail.

Football wasn’t the only action in play. Hosted by DJ Bambino, attendees engaged in quick-fire trivia sessions and went head-to-head in a series of football juggling challenges. Winners walked away with Heineken merch, exclusive memorabilia, and bragging rights.

Among the guests soaking up the atmosphere was marketer and content creator Amoie Hutchinson. She didn’t come alone—by her side was her father, the one who had shared her very first Heineken with her.

For them, the watch party was more than a match; it was a chance to relive the bond they built over football and cold beers—a perfect celebration of connection and tradition.

The day peaked with the live match screening—an emotional rollercoaster that had everyone on their feet with cheers, roars of celebration, and nail-biting moments. The kind of euphoria only understood by hardcore fans and brought to life with Heineken’s signature touch.

For over 34 years, Heineken has been a proud partner of the UEFA Champions League and will continue to honour the fandom.
