The Tryall Club and Jamaica Sotheby’s Realty 5K Eco Run returns for its second start on Sunday, August 24.

Held for the first time in 2024, the 5K Eco run will again take place on the grounds of The Tryall Club in Hanover. Continuing on its mission of promoting wellness, environmental awareness and community impact, this year’s theme is: ‘Run with Purpose. Run for Jamaica’s Future’.

As with its inaugural staging, proceeds from the 5K Eco Run will directly support environmental conservation efforts and educational initiatives across Jamaica.

Registration for the run opened in this month and individuals interested in participating or donating can visit www.ecorunjamaica.com.  At the same time, the organisers encourage participants to follow the journey on Instagram at @ecorunjamaicasothebys_tryall for updates, stories and highlights.

According to the headline sponsors, “the 5K Eco Run is carving out a place on Jamaica’s wellness calendar as a purposeful event that promotes both health and sustainability. With last year’s inaugural run exceeding expectations, this year’s event is set to build on that success.”

The first staging in 2024 saw a strong turnout and enthusiastic response from participants across all ages and backgrounds, laying the foundation for what is to become a growing annual event. For 2025, the organisers aim to build on that momentum by expanding the race-day experience and deepening its message of purposeful action.

“We really wanted to create something that felt meaningful and accessible; a race and an experience with heart behind it,” said Julian Dixon, CEO of Jamaica Sotheby’s International Realty.

Julian Dixon, the CEO of Jamaica Sotheby’s Realty, shares lens time with participants in the inaugural 5K Eco Run.

“Eco Run is our way of showing that luxury and lifestyle can exist alongside care for our environment and our communities. We’re proud to continue building this event with that in mind,” she added.

With a $5,000 registration fee, the 2025 event offers participants a scenic 5K route through the Tryall estate, along with a full race package and signature Jamaican hospitality. The event is open to runners, walkers and supporters of all fitness levels and is designed to be as inclusive as it is impactful.
