Netflix has announced that The Sandman, the acclaimed adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s iconic comic series, will return for its final season in 2025.
Showrunner Allan Heinberg confirmed that the upcoming instalment will mark the end of Dream’s journey, staying true to the remaining source material.
In a statement, Heinberg thanked Netflix for allowing the creative team to craft a faithful adaptation, promising that the conclusion will surprise and excite longtime readers and fans of the series.
“The Sandman series has always been focused exclusively on Dream’s story, and back in 2022 when we looked at the remaining Dream material from the comics, we knew we only had enough story for one more season,” he added on X.

The announcement was accompanied by a striking promotional image featuring Dream, played by Tom Sturridge, alongside his six siblings, also known as the Endless (Death, Delirium, Desire, Despair, Destiny, Destruction), hinting at the high-stakes narrative awaiting audiences.
While details about the final season remain scarce, anticipation is high for how the series will bring Gaiman’s beloved saga to its epic conclusion.
The Sandman’s last chapter arrives exclusively on Netflix in 2025, however, the exact date to catch Dream and the Endless family back on your screens have not yet been announced.
