Three more charged in Seprod fraud case

Three more employees were arrested and charged in relation to the multimillion dollar fraud at Seprod Group of companies.

The employees have been identified as 40-year old Carlington Reid, a sales assistant at the company, 29-year old Maynard Anderson, a sales assistant and 48-year old St. Patrick Waskit, a truck driver.

The individuals were listed among persons of interest in the investigation by Deputy Police Commissioner Fitz Bailey. Reports are that they turned themself in yesterday (April 17).

They will appear before the Kingston and St Andrew parish court on May 22.

According to Bailey, Seprod was defrauded $160 million, which was reportedly stolen between October 2021 and May 2022.

In the meantime, the police are asking the public to report any information they have in relation to the matter by contacting Crime Stop at 311, the Criminal Investigation Branch at 922-2380, or the police 119 emergency number.
