The Jamaica Meteorological Service says citizens can continue to expect unstable weather today (November 13) as a trough and low-level jet stream dominate conditions over the island.

The Met Service, in its daily weather forecast, warned that thunderstorm activity is likely to increase this week on the approach of a severe weather system being monitored in the southwest Caribbean Sea.

Conditions start out generally fair or partly cloudy for much of the country, with isolated morning showers across eastern and north-central parishes. Skies later give way to gusty winds and widely scattered after showers and thunderstorms across Jamaica’s central and western parishes.

Maximum temperatures anticipated for major cities Kingston and Montego Bay are 34 and 33 degrees Celsius.
