A ridge and low-level jet stream across Jamaica.

As the weekend approaches, the Ridge is expected to weaken, causing a trough to develop across the island. In addition, the low-level jet stream is expected to shift further south of Jamaica, resulting in lighter winds, especially across the southern parishes.
