A ridge across Jamaica and a low-level jet stream across the central Caribbean. The ridge is expected to remain through Saturday; thereafter, a trough is projected to move across the central Caribbean.

Additionally, windy conditions are expected primarily across northern parishes and some hilly areas through to Saturday due to the presence of the low-level jet stream.
