Tommy Lee set to perform at Reggae Sumfest

Popular dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta is set to perform at Jamaica’s largest music festival, Reggae Sumfest on Friday (July 21) in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The Blessings singer will treat his fans to a long anticipated return to the stage after spending more than two years behind bars for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Tommy Lee, whose given name is Leroy Russell, was arrested along Holborn Road in New Kingston in 2020 by members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

He was later sentenced in March 2021 to a total of five years in prison – three years for the illegal possession of a firearm and two years for the illegal possession of ammunition.

The artiste was released on Thursday (March 23) from the Horizon Adult Remand Center in Kingston for good behaviour.

This year’s staging of the event which will run from (July 16 to July 22), will feature live performances from headliners such as minister Marion Hall formerly known as ‘Lady Saw’, reggae group, Morgan Heritage, dancehall artiste, Valiant, Grammy winner Kabaka Pyramid and among others.
