The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that new traffic arrangements will take place in Mandeville effective Sunday, December 10, as the Agency nears the completion of a $75-million-dollar traffic improvement programme.

Caledonia Road, which currently operates as a two-way corridor, will function as a one-way corridor from the direction of the Scotiabank to the New Green Road intersection.

Manchester Road between Scotiabank and Sinclair’s Bargain Centre will also function as a one-way come Sunday.

Additionally, the median along Main Street in Mandeville will be opened to allow traffic from North Race Course Road and at Villa Road. The NWA says signs have been placed at both intersections.

Stephen Shaw, manager of communication and customer services at the NWA, explained that the traffic changes are to facilitate road markings and the laying of curbs at the specified areas.
