Sony released the trailer for One Of Them Days on Thursday, October 24, starring R&B singer SZA and multi-hyphenate Keke Palmer and it looks amazing!

Produced by Insecure’s Issa Rae, written by Syreeta Singleton and directed by Lawrence Lamont the buddy-comedy will be released exclusively in theatres on January 24.

While many people are already familiar with Keke Palmer’s comedic talent from her past roles, this will be our first opportunity to see SZA in an acting role, and as a lead at that. If her music videos are any indication, SZA is likely to excel in this performance.

The Plot

The movie is about best friends and roommates Dreux and Alyssa after they discover Alyssa’s boyfriend has blown their rent money due on that day. The duo finds themselves going to extremes in a race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.

From blood donations to trying to rescue a pair of Jordan sneakers from an electrical line to trying to get a loan, the girls find themselves going down a rabbit hole of get-rich-quick schemes that so far look like it would be a hoot to watch.

“It reminds me of Friday, so I already know it’s gonna make me laugh!” One commenter wrote.

Katt William also appears as a recurring extra in the film.
