The Transport Authority recently announced that motor vehicle examinations will begin on January 9, to facilitate the renewal of road licences on March 31.

In a press release, the Transport Authority said early examinations are aimed at providing efficient and convenient service to customers.

“Under this facility, licences are not required to pay the motor-vehicle examination fees upfront, as the fees will be collected upon submission of their applications for renewal of their road licences,” the authority said.

The authority outlined that Public Passenger Vehicles (PPV) should meet the standards and requirements outlined by the Transport Authority, such as colour coding, vehicle markings and vehicle age requirements.

The authority also urged the public to utilise its online application process using debit and credit cards, which will limit the number of persons going into its offices.
