The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) through the Legal Aid Council (LAC) will host the Trelawny leg of the Legal Aid Fair for persons with disabilities on Thursday.

The Justice Fair forms part of the Ministry’s initiative to make justice more accessible to Jamaicans and those vulnerable among us. It is also used as a tool to promote Alternative Justice Services to avoid the formal justice system.

The Minister of Justice Delroy Chuck, KC, MP will deliver remarks at the event. Custos Rotulorum Trelawny, Hugh Gentles CD, JP and Member Parliament Trelawny Northern Tova Hamilton, MP will bring greetings.

Members of the community of persons with disability and the public will have access to justice services such as; Expungement, Victim Support, Estate Management, Child Diversion, Restorative Justice and Legal Aid. Additional services will also be available through other government entities such as the Heart NSTA Trust, the National Housing Trust (NHT), and the Registrar General’s Department (RGD).
