A trial date of September 22 has been set for Rohan Rose, the security guard who was charged in connection with the murder of social media influencer Aneka ‘Slickianna’ Townsend.
The date was set by Justice Andrea Thomas when the accused appeared in the St James Circuit Court earlier today (May 5).
Rose’s bail was also extended.
The security guard is charged with misprision of a felony because he knowingly withheld information about Townsend’s death from the police.
The body of Townsend was found floating at Reading in St James on October 21 last year by beachgoers in the area, and retrieved by the Marine Police.
Reports from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) are that Townsend and Rushawn Patterson, the person charged with her murder, were at a guest house when a fight between the two resulted in Patterson strangling Townsend.
