The Phoenix Park Industrial Estate (PPIE), a flagship project of China-Trinidad and Tobago cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, was officially inaugurated on Wednesday (January 10).

Located on 144 acres in Point Lisas, central Trinidad, the facility positions itself as an ideal hub for various industries, offering unparalleled proximity to key infrastructure.

A standout feature of Phoenix Park is its strategic location, 10 minutes away from the Port of Point Lisas, the country’s second-largest port. This proximity presents an advantage for exporters, granting them easy access to regional and global consumer markets through the major containerised cargo port.

PPIE is nestled five minutes away from the Point Lisas Industrial Estate, a world-class facility recognised as the heart of Trinidad and Tobago’s petrochemical sector. With approximately 103 companies engaged in the production of vital petrochemicals such as methanol, ammonia, and urea, the estate provides a ready-made global business network for Phoenix Park tenants.

The facility specifically targets businesses operating in Manufacturing & Assembly, Logistics & Distribution, and ICT industries. Tenants can expect a modern industrial space equipped with built infrastructure to cater to their utility service needs.

Key components of the infrastructure and services provided for each lot include an asphaltic concrete road network, covered drains with retention ponds, underground electrical and telecommunication infrastructure, potable water supply, a sewer collection system, a wastewater treatment plant, and natural gas supply to approximately 41 lots.

Additionally, the inclusion of LED street lights, high-security fencing, and a comprehensive security surveillance system ensures a secure environment for businesses to thrive.
