Tropical wave to bring afternoon showers and thunderstorms

The Meteorological Service of Jamaica is advising that isolated showers and thunderstorms are likely to bring showers and thunderstorms across central and western parishes this afternoon (August 24).

For the coming days, the Met Service is forecasting afternoon showers and thunderstorms, mainly across western parishes on Monday, southern parishes on Tuesday, and most parishes on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Fernand, now southeast of Bermuda, poses no threat to Jamaica.
