
A 36-year-old truck driver from St Catherine has been charged with Embezzlement and Larceny as a Servant following an incident in St Ann’s Bay, St Ann, last month.
Charged is Sean Orridge of Begonia Lodge, Linstead, St Catherine.
According to reports from the St Ann’s Bay Police, Orridge was contracted to deliver goods and collect payments on behalf of a company by which he was employed.
On Friday, December 12, he reportedly received $301,812, which he failed to hand over to the company and was unable to account for.
A report was subsequently made to the police, and Orridge was taken into custody.
He was charged after giving a caution statement in the presence of two Justices of the Peace on Friday, December 11.
Orridge is scheduled to appear before the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday, January 16.
