Jamaican information technology firm, tTech, has completed one of its largest cybersecurity projects to date, with the implementation of a leading Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) advanced cybersecurity solution.

The solution is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities across multiple organisations and geographies. EDR seamlessly combines automation with both AI and ML to detect and remediate modern attacks in real time, at machine speed, and without extra intervention.

At the same time, tTech has been on a push to improve the cybersecurity protection of all its customers.

The IT company said it has been engaged in a campaign to inform and educate customers and prospects with the main message urging companies to replace or upgrade all antivirus with faster and smarter AI-powered prevention and autonomous detection and response solutions.

Part of this campaign was tTech’s successful hosting of a Digital Transformation Webinar, themed “Why Digital Transformation projects fail, what to do and what not to do”, which was executed during the recently ended September quarter. The webinar saw about 90 highly engaged attendees, who gave the company positive feedback and insights for future events.

Financial performance during September quarter

During the September quarter, tTech earned revenues of J$98.0 million, a marginal increase compared to the corresponding period in 2021 when J$96.6 million was made. Total expenses for the period came out at J$95.7 million, an increase of 6.6 per cent compared to the J$89.7 million booked in 2021.

The quarter operations resulted in tTech recording a profit of $1.8 million for the period. At the same time, the sales & marketing team closed on new contracts during the period that will contribute positively to both top and bottom line over the next 12 months.

According to tTech, it is working aggressively to fulfil its promise of delivering “insanely good IT services to its valued clients and is grateful for the opportunities it continuously receives”.
