The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago has formally adopted the use of its redesigned Coat of Arms on Wednesday, February 25.
This follows the passage of the National Emblems of Trinidad and Tobago (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
In the updated design, Christopher Columbus’ three ships, the Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa María, have been replaced with the steel pan, the twin island state’s national instrument.
The Act was passed in the House of Representatives on January 13 and was passed in the Senate on January 21 with unanimous support.
Additionally, it has been reported that the updated $100 polymer notes, which are anticipated to go into circulation in September, will have the new Coat of Arms.
