Following the purchase of Jewel Paradise Cove from the Playa Hotels and Resorts, TUI Global Hospitality Fund announced its agreement with Blue Diamond Resorts to renovate the Runaway Bay, St Ann property for reopening in late 2026.
Both corporations highlighted the major hospitality investment in Jamaica at ITB Berlin 2025 in Germany last week while unveiling plans for Royalton CHIC Jamaica Paradise Cove, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resorts – Adults Only.
A plus for Jamaica’s high-end tourism
The 345-suite luxury resort will undergo a complete redesign, which forms part of the continued expansion of Blue Diamond’s luxury portfolio across the Caribbean and further strengthens Jamaica’s position as a high-end tourism destination.
Jurgen Stutz, senior vice-president of sales, marketing, and revenue management at Blue Diamond Resorts, emphasised that this development “reflects the dynamic growth of our [Royalton CHIC] brand and the demand for upscale, experience-driven all-inclusive stays”.
The resort will feature 345 luxury suites, including Diamond Club™ room categories with butler service and prime locations. In addition, it will offer four fine dining restaurants and an international buffet, catering to diverse gourmet experiences.

What’s more? The renovated resort will have swim-up rooms and beachfront pools, designed for social and immersive resort experiences. It will also offer guests the Royalton CHIC’s signature ‘Party Your Way’ concept, allowing them to curate their own balance of relaxation and entertainment.
“The investment by TUI and Royalton CHIC Resorts is a strong signal of confidence in Jamaica’s positive investment climate and world-renowned tourism appeal,” Gregory Shervington, regional director – Europe, Jamaica Tourist Board, noted.
Jamaica’s high-end tourism sector has grown significantly due to monumental foreign investments in the all-inclusive luxury hospitality industry. A key destination for North American and European travellers, the country has witnessed the introduction of new luxury resorts.
TUI boosting tourism in the Caribbean
Jamaica’s total visitor arrivals surpassed 4.1 million in 2024, contributing over $4 billion to the economy. As such, TUI’s extensive presence in the Caribbean ensures a steady flow of international travellers, especially Europeans, driving demand for premium resorts.
As a shareholder in Royalton, TUI is already a leading player in Caribbean hospitality with 78 resorts across the region. The Royalton CHIC Jamaica project adds to the growing portfolio, reinforcing TUI’s strategy of expanding high-yield, experience-driven properties.
“Many international guests, from Europe and North America, ensure that our Caribbean hotels are highly profitable. This latest investment in Jamaica strengthens our portfolio, enhancing value for investors and guests alike,” Peter Krueger, chief strategy officer & CEO Holiday Experiences at TUI Group, shared.
The Jamaican resort becomes the third asset under the TUI Global Hospitality Fund after investments in Zanzibar and Cape Verde. This strategic expansion aligns with TUI’s goal of building high-value, long-term hospitality assets in key global destinations.
For Blue Diamond Resorts, this latest venture in the Caribbean adds to the successful addition of Royalton CHIC Resorts in Cancun, Punta Cana, Antigua, and an upcoming resort in Barbados.
“Our expansion into Jamaica represents the remarkable success of Royalton CHIC Resorts and its impact on the all-inclusive industry and immersive hospitality” said Jordi Pelfort, president of Blue Diamond Resorts, in a press release.
“This latest development underscores the strength of our brand, the confidence of our guests, partners, and our commitment to expanding our footprint in key destinations. We continue to push boundaries, curating exceptional resorts in the most desirable beachfront locations,” he added
As part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, Royalton CHIC Jamaica Paradise Cove promises a “fusion of posh hospitality and signature social experiences, ensuring guests enjoy an unparalleled level of service, style, and exclusivity”.
